About the Role

Are you a compassionate and reliable Health Care Assistant (HCA) eager to be part of a high-performing team? We are looking for an enthusiastic HCA to join our remarkable Emergency Department located at Tauranga hospital. In this permanent part-time role working Monday - Sunday, 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week), you will be an essential part of the team, supporting patients and clinical staff in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Under the direction of a passionate and highly skilled nursing team, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care, assisting with personal care, patient comfort, mobility and clinical support tasks. The Emergency Department is the cornerstone of the community - providing urgent care to people of all ages, 24/7. The team is collaborative, experienced, and united by a shared commitment to patient wellbeing. About you

The ideal candidate is reliable, compassionate, and calm under pressure. You will be someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and understands the importance of teamwork, clear communication, and maintaining patient dignity at all times.

What you will bring:

• Certificate in Health Care Assistance Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent)
• Experience in a healthcare setting or related service
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Moving and handling experience
• Computer competent
• Flexibility to work shift hours across Sunday to Monday
