Health NZ Counties Manukau is a dynamic and progressive organisation at the forefront of innovative health care delivery within the New Zealand Public Health Sector. We continue to work with others to achieve equity in key health indicators for Maaori, Pacific and communities with health disparities and will continue to develop and implement plans, based on local needs to improve the health and wellbeing of Counties Manukau region. Our main sites are Middlemore Hospital, Kidz First Hospital and Manukau Health Park.
We are part of Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. HNZ leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.
About Us:
The Auckland Spinal Unit is one of only two specialised units in New Zealand providing a regional service to patients with spinal injuries. We are an interdisciplinary team offering in-patient, out-patient and outreach services to our clients.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team. This is a very fulfilling job as you establish relationships with patients over a long period of time.

All we want from you is initiative; good communication skills; the ability to think critically; good problem solving skills and at least 1 year recent post grad experience in a large hospital setting in NZ.
Previous experience in any of the following would be advantageous but not essential - Spinal, Urology, Orthopaedics, Plastics, Wound Care, Rehabilitation.
Essential:
- New Zealand Registered Nurse
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Minimum 1 year post registration experience in a large hospital setting in NZ
- Experience in Rehabilitation (desired)
