About the Role
We're looking for a dynamic Administrator Team Leader who is ready to make a real impact. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind a high-performing team — so we need someone who brings energy, precision, and purpose to everything they do. As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for a team of administrators who assist and provide services to the entire hospital and Lakes community, including a central referral centre who manage all external and internal referrals to hospital & specialist services. Schedulers who have contact with the community and services within the hospital and receptionists who are our frontline patient facing team. You will bridge the gap between our outpatient department and other key services.
A typical day will involve:
- Day-to-day management of the administration team, including short notice leave requests and cover arrangements.
- Overseeing the consistent delivery of high quality patient focused care ensuring KPI’s are being met
- Fostering and building relationships with all services within the hospital and community
- Ongoing quality improvement initiatives

About you
You will demonstrate:
- Strong people and customer focus
- The ability to motivate, empower and foster a positive team culture
- The ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of people
- A can-do, problem solving attitude with a willingness to learn
- Confidence in leading and managing a mid-size team across two sites
- Planning and organisation skills
- Familiarity with patient management systems (not essential)
- KPI management, record keeping and reporting skills
- Previous experience providing training to staff members (would be advantageous)
- Customer service team lead or office administration/management background and/or similar experience
