About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic administrator for the Bridgman North Ward. The position is Monday to Friday day shifts, between the hours of 0700-1530 currently. There is the potential to job-share also

Duties include: 

  • Greeting and directing visitors
  • Answering phones
  • Filing, processing documents and providing clerical support to all members of the medical team.
  • General clerical assistance to the Clinical Nurse Manager

The successful applicant is required to maintain a high level of confidentiality, have excellent interpersonal skills, and to be able to work effectively within a busy team environment.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Bridgman North Ward at Rotorua Hospital is a mixed adult ward delivering care to patients across a range of specialties. The ward environment is team focused, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, support, and learning. Nurses work alongside experienced clinicians in a multidisciplinary setting that promotes knowledge sharing and professional growth, to provide positive outcomes for our patients.

About you

You are an efficient and organised person with recent hospital administration experience, who can provide and contribute to a confidential and professional administrative service. You are calm and adaptable amidst a busy, fast-paced ward and can provide team orientated assistance to the wider team as required.

  • Relevant experience in hospital administration 
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment
