About the Role
The HRIS and Payroll Maintenance and Support position provides efficient and accurate administrative support across the employee lifecycle, with a primary focus on onboarding, offboarding, maintaining employee records and accurate implementation of collective agreements.
- Onboarding and Offboarding of staff includes ensuring employees meet the relevant criteria to commence
- Collective agreement implementations, grade translations and maintaining accurate grade tables
- Transactional work – actioning contractual changes for current employees
- Operate as HR portal first stop to ensure staff queries are responded to efficiently and timely
- Compliance based maintenance is completed – included but not limited to: recording of performance appraisals, conflict of interest data and visa follow ups
About the Team/Service/ Location
While this position is primarily based at Rotorua Hospital, for the right candidate we would consider a hybrid working location arrangement between Rotorua and Tauranga Hospitals, with the core requirement of spending at least two days a week at Rotorua Hospital. In either location you will get the opportunity to be part of a fun, friendly and supportive team.

About you
We are seeking applications from candidates who have:
- Strong communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Willingness to learn broader payroll, HR, Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
- Ability to work within a team as well as autonomously
- HR and Payroll knowledge
- 2-3 years relevant administrative experience
