About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Health New Zealand and play a crucial role in managing the nursing portfolio within Health New Zealand, Hawke’s Bay, directly contributing to achieving national health targets. As a Experienced Recruitment Advisor, you will provide strategic and operational recruitment guidance, advice, and support to people leaders. You will be responsible for delivering candidate-centric recruitment services, ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring managers. Additionally, you will mentor and support junior team members and lead portfolio-specific projects and recruitment events.

Working alongside clinical leaders, this role leads end‑to‑end recruitment for complex and high‑priority portfolios, balancing strategic workforce planning with hands‑on delivery in a team that is collaborative, values‑led, and committed to doing things well. You’ll work in a close‑knit, purpose‑driven recruitment team, partnering with clinicians and leaders to deliver thoughtful, candidate‑centric recruitment while supporting each other through change and continuous improvement. This role sits at the heart of a transforming health system, delivering high‑impact recruitment alongside a team that values innovation, inclusivity, and collective problem‑solving

About you
We are seeking an experienced, resilient senior recruiter who can partner with clinical leaders to deliver high‑impact, candidate‑centred recruitment in a complex and evolving healthcare environment.
- Experience in senior recruitment or talent role.
- Knowledge of NZ legislation and its application in a large, complex organisation.
- Experience working in the public health sector is preferred.
- Strong relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
