About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Core 1 rotational occupational therapist to join our highly skilled and dedicated occupational therapy team at Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora – Waitematā.
This is a full-time role, and this programme gives you the opportunity to participate in a wide range of clinical settings to further develop your skills and competencies in occupational therapy assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and discharge planning across North Shore Hospital, Waitakere Hospital, Community services and the Wilson Centre.

About the Team/Service/ Location
We offer a two-tier rotational scheme within Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora – Waitematā at three sites across the district.
Core 1 rotational positions are 6 months long and offer experience in:
- Acute medical (Waitakere & North Shore)
- Acute surgical
- Acute orthopaedics
- Older Adult Assessment Treatment & Rehabilitation (AT&R)
Core 2 rotational positions are 12 months long and in addition to the above also offer experience in:
- Trauma orthopaedics
- Integrated stroke unit
- Assessment, Treatment & Rehabilitation (Waitakere Hospital – combined with West Integrated Stroke Unit)
- Paediatric rehabilitation at the Wilson Centre (the national paediatric rehabilitation provider)
- Community Occupational Therapy – adults
- Acute Renal
About you
As a Rotational Occupational Therapist you should have:
- Professional Registration and be eligible for an Annual Practicing Certificate with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand
