Clinical Nurse Specialist – Colposcopy

Step into a pivotal advanced practice role improving women’s health outcomes across Counties Manukau Health NZ. 
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist – Colposcopy to join our Women’s Health team and lead high-quality, culturally responsive care within our Colposcopy Screening Service, primarily based at Manukau Health Park.

The Role

As the CNS – Colposcopy, you will provide expert clinical care, advanced assessment, and leadership within the multidisciplinary team. You will support smooth service delivery, champion equity, and ensure women and whaanau receive safe, informed, and culturally grounded care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced clinical practice within the Colposcopy clinic
  • Provide expert cervical smear-taking and contraception knowledge
  • Lead service improvement and model best practice
  • Coordinate efficient pathways and manage the Colposcopy database
  • Support audits, evaluation, and primary/secondary care integration
  • Promote Maaori health equity and uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Educate and collaborate with internal and external partners

About You

  • NZ Registered Nurse with APC
  • Minimum 5 years’ recent colposcopy nursing experience in NZ
  • Skilled in the NZ Cervical Screening Programme
  • Proficient/Expert PDRP
  • Super user experience with Colposcopy databases
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification (or willingness to study)
