General Medicine is an acute adult health service at Auckland City Hospital comprised of 5 General Medicine wards. Each ward has a subspecialty of medicine which we will be happy to discuss in further detail during your interview. 

Our Medicine wards provide structured orientation and on-going professional development, coaching and support. If you are passionate about the delivery of high-quality care, teamwork and continuing education, then we would love to hear from you.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

  • A passion for General Medicine and complex care
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • To be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand, with an Annual Practicing Certificate.
  • Acute hospital experience, preferably in General Medicine
  • If you lack NZ acute experience, but have proven overseas emergency or acute experience then please apply.
