About the role:
The Operating Theatres at Counties Manukau DHB are amongst the busiest and most exciting places to work in New Zealand. We are looking for an experienced Operating Theatre Nurse with General surgery experience to join our fantastic team primarily based at Middlemore Hospital.
We have Acute and Elective Surgery taking place in theatres across the two locations and staff rotating across both sites, your skills will constantly be drawn upon. Our teams are both friendly and supportive and extremely passionate about the work they do ensuring that high standards of care are given to all patients.
With specialities including General Surgery & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Urology, Plastics, ORL and Ophthalmology Counties Manukau also offer a Regional Hand Service - there are few places in New Zealand that can offer Theatre Nurses the incredible clinical scope and diversity in their day.
On-going Learning and Development is actively encouraged at Counties and there are real career opportunities available for those Nurses that want to take their nursing career to the next level.
Essential:
- New Zealand Registered Nurse
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate
- 2 - 5 years’ experience in Operating Theatres
- Experience in General or Gynae Surgery preferred
