Our vibrant team at Ophthalmology Outpatients have opportunities for you to join their team as an experience Ophthalmic registered Nurse.
About the Role
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with Ophthalmic experience to support the department.
In this role you will:
- Work rostered shifts, Monday to Sunday starting from 0730 until 8pm
- Play a key role in supporting and managing clinics, as well as running pre-admission clinics, acute eye service patient assessment and care, learning and performing intravitreal injections, assisting in procedure rooms and coordinating clinic.
- Be provided with a comprehensive orientation and on-going training and support.

About the Team
The eye clinic is a model compromising of 4 locality sites, the main site being Greenlane Clinical Centre. Clinics also run at Waitakere hospital outpatient department, Glen Innes and Glenfield. Staff are rostered over the 4 sites based on the clinical requirements.
This energetic unit sees between 400-500 patients per day, so variety is abundant here.
Our team is made up of competent, professional, and highly motivated nurses who are committed to providing a supportive and welcoming environment. We offer the opportunity to be part of a dynamic, friendly, and collaborative team where your growth is encouraged. The departmental model is reliant on multidisciplinary team working and the nurses work closely with our Allied Health partners as well as a variety of medical teams covering all ophthalmic subspecialties. We work closely with our inpatient colleagues across the Greenlane site but also accept regional referrals.
