About the Role
As a Registered Nurse – Renal, you will provide high quality nursing care to patients receiving dialysis and renal services. Using your clinical knowledge and assessment skills, you will support patients through every stage of their treatment, providing care that promotes safety, independence, wellbeing, and positive health outcomes.
This is a highly specialised role where you will work closely with patients and whānau, delivering evidence based care, health education, and ongoing support. You will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team and have the opportunity to further develop your renal nursing knowledge while contributing to service improvement and maintaining high standards of patient care.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our Renal Service provides specialist care and dialysis treatment to patients across Hawke's Bay. Based in Hastings, you will join a dedicated team of nurses, medical staff, and allied health professionals who are committed to delivering compassionate, patient centred care and supporting people living with renal disease.

About you
As a Registered Nurse, you will bring:
- Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate
- IV certification and strong clinical nursing skills
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and achieving equitable health outcomes
- Previous renal or dialysis experience is advantageous but not essential
This role would suit a nurse who is passionate about delivering high quality specialised care and building strong therapeutic relationships with patients and whānau over time.
