About the Role
As a Registered Nurse within the Radiology Department, you will provide contemporary, safe and effective nursing care to patients and whānau accessing diagnostic and interventional radiology services. Working as part of a trans‑disciplinary team, you will contribute to assessment, care planning, patient education, and coordination of care to support best health outcomes.
This role offers the opportunity to develop and apply specialist radiology nursing skills while upholding professional, ethical, and legal standards of nursing practice, and supporting equity of health outcomes for Māori.

About the Team/Service/ Location
The Radiology Department at Gisborne Hospital is a supportive, collaborative service providing imaging and interventional procedures to the Tairāwhiti community. You will be part of a team that values professionalism, teamwork, cultural responsiveness, and continuous improvement.

About you
As a Registered Nurse, you will bring:
- Current NZ Annual Practising Certificate as a Registered Nurse
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving Māori health outcomes
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and critical thinking skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Professional integrity, adaptability, and a patient‑centred approach to care
- Cannulation experience (preferred)
