The opportunity:

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Transcriptionists to join our Clinical Transcription Service based at Middlemore Hospital. These roles play a vital part in supporting a wide range of clinical services through accurate and timely medical transcription.

Available positions:

  • 2 Full-Time Permanent Roles and working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • 1 Part-Time permanent position and 16 hours per week, Mondays and Wednesdays

All positions are based on-site at Middlemore Hospital and operate during standard business hours.

We offer an excellent training programme to ensure staffs are able to work independently in a short time frame, and ongoing supports are provided for all employees.

About you:

If you have previous medical experience then this is a great opportunity. We will consider applicants who do not have a medical background, but have proven fast, accurate Dictaphone typing, which are essential, as it is very a busy, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will need to have;

  • Dictaphone typing/Transcription experience
  • Minimum typing speed of 55wpm
  • Intermediate level of MS Office Word & Outlook Awareness and understanding of patient confidentiality
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure

The salary range is dependent on skills and experience and will be paid in line with the National Administration Collective agreement.
