Registered Nurse - Ophthalmology

- Permanent full-time position, working 40 hours per week rostered shifts between Monday-Friday

About the Role
This position utilises professional knowledge and skill to provide a holistic approach to nursing care that is safe, of the highest quality possible and in accordance with:
- Northland District Health Board policies
- Registered Nurse Scope of Practice
- Nursing Practice Standards
- Nursing Council of NZ Registered Nurse competencies
- Nursing Council code of conduct
The primary purpose of this role is to provide skilled nursing care through the application of clinical knowledge and theory to nursing practice. Within the Ophthalmology Outpatient department, you will ensure quality patient/turoro/tangata whai ora care. There will be opportunities for you to grow and develop as a clinician and leader as we value the importance of investing in our team and supporting this growth.

About you
You will be an experienced nurse with strong interpersonal skills who can develop and communicate a vision for the future, inspiring commitment to the goals of the organisation/team.
- Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand and holder of a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
- Have people orientated interests and good communication
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Ophthalmology experience in desirable but not necessary
