About the Role
As a Registered Nurse - General and Vascular Surgery, you will provide high - quality nursing care to patients throughout their surgical journey, delivering comprehensive assessments, care planning, treatment, and evaluation to support positive patient outcomes. Working closely with patients, whānau, and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will ensure care is evidence-based, patient-centred, and responsive to individual needs.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a busy and rewarding surgical environment where you will develop your clinical skills, support patient recovery, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. About the Team/Service/ Location
Our General and Vascular Surgery team provides specialist surgical care to patients across Hawke's Bay. Working alongside experienced nursing, medical, and allied health professionals, you will be part of a supportive and collaborative team committed to delivering safe, high-quality care and excellent patient experiences.

About you
As a Registered Nurse, you will bring:
- Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
- Previous surgical nursing experience or a strong interest in developing a career within surgical services.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and build positive relationships with patients and whānau.
- A commitment to professional development, quality improvement, and culturally safe care.
