About the Role
Bring your podiatry expertise into a role where your clinical skills directly improve patient outcomes. This position provides specialist podiatry services across Tauranga and Whakatāne, supporting patients through wound care, triage, and acute interventions.
Work across a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, acute wards, and emergency care environment. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, effective care, while also supporting community-based needs. The role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to grow within a supportive and connective service.

The Bay of Plenty podiatry service is a small, highly connected team delivering care across both Tauranga and Whakatāne. Collaboration sits at the centre of practice, with strong links across hospital services and the wider community. The team is supported by experienced clinicians and professional leadership, creating an environment that values innovation, shared learning, and continuous improvement. About You
You are an experienced Podiatrist with a strong clinical foundation and a proactive approach to patient care. Confident working across varied environments, you bring expertise in wound care and the ability to manage diverse caseloads with sound clinical judgement. With the mindset of building strong relationships with patients and colleagues, your practice reflects a commitment to equity, cultural safety, and delivering high quality, patient-centred care.
What you will bring:
- Registration with the Podiatrist Board of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Minimum five years of experience in secondary healthcare, with a focus on wound care
- Demonstrated ability in triage and managing diverse clinical presentations
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Experience or interest in service development and quality improvement
- Commitment to culturally responsive practice and equitable healthcare delivery
