About the role:
As a Patient Care Assistant, you will be a valued member of the Gastroenterology team, providing both patient support and administrative assistance. A key part of your role will involve contacting patients before their procedures, providing preparation instructions, answering questions, and helping them feel informed and supported throughout their healthcare journey.
Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Registered Health Professional, you will contribute to delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centred services. This is a full-time position based at Middlemore Hospital, working Monday to Friday during business hours.
About You:
We are looking for someone organised, friendly, and able to thrive in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have;
One year’s experience in a service-based environment
Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team
Healthcare experience will be advantageous
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Must be physically fit and reliable
Computer skills
