About the Role

  • Permanent
  • Full time, 1 FTE 

We are seeking an experienced Health Care Assistant with good communication and interpersonal skills to join our team.

This position is rostered Monday - Sunday, therefore you must be prepared to work all shifts this includes nights and weekends.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Whā Ward at North Shore Hospital (part of the Tōtara Haumaru building) is a medical ward focusing on assessment, rehabilitation, and care for patients as part of the wider medical services. If you have a positive can-do attitude, value teamwork, have previous experience working in an acute environment we would like to talk to you.

You are expected to work well in a team, have excellent customer service skills and customer service practices, uphold confidentiality and discretion, good command of oral and written English and knowledge and understanding Aof the health care system.

About you

To be considered we will need the following:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in an acute environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the healthcare system
  • Someone who thrives in high energy environments and can prioritise effectively
  • A New Zealand Citizen or Resident
