About the Role
Starship Outpatients has a variety of different specialised clinics running throughout the week. We have a variety of work which includes orthopaedic and ENT clinics. We’re looking for a dynamic nurse with a strong commitment to quality healthcare who is capable of working independently and with a team. Paediatric surgical or orthopaedic nursing experience would be beneficial in addition to well-developed communication, critical thinking skills and a commitment to family-centred care.

In this role, you will
- Provide outstanding clinical and professional leadership for nursing staff on the unit ensuring that excellence in nursing care delivery is maintained
- Provide expert clinical support and oversight to nursing staff, enhancing the existing skills of staff on the unit
- Be responsible for the operational management of the unit
- Ensuring a high standard of Nursing Care delivery that meet the needs of tamariki and their whānau
- Lead effective teamwork and work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team
- Support staff wellbeing and a positive working environment

About you
We are looking to recruit an exceptional, forward thinking nurse leader who is flexible, resilient and can manage a busy workload. As an ideal candidate, you will have a Post Graduate degree and at least 5 years’ experience as a registered nurse.
To be successful in this role you will
- bring a well-grounded clinical background
- have a minimum of 5 years paediatric experience
- have obtained the appropriate post-graduate qualification
- have a strong commitment to leading professional development, quality care and whānau centred nursing
