About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Theatre Schedule Coordinator & Perioperative Administrator to join our dynamic Perioperative Services team at Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital. This full-time, permanent position plays a critical role in supporting the smooth and efficient running of our surgical theatres. You will be responsible for coordinating elective theatre scheduling, liaising with clinical teams, and ensuring the accurate and timely flow of administrative information across the perioperative service.

You will bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This role is vital in supporting safe and effective surgical services, ultimately helping us deliver better outcomes for our patients.

About you

You will be someone who thrives in a structured, process-driven environment and enjoys being part of a busy and essential hospital function. You will need:

  • Proven administrative and coordination experience – preferably within a healthcare or surgical environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities
  • Confidence working with digital systems (previous experience with hospital systems advantageous)
  • A commitment to providing high-quality support to clinical teams and contributing to positive patient outcomes
