Team Administrator Clinical, Hearing and Ear Health Team, Starship Children’s Health

About the role

The primary purpose of the role is to provide clerical and administrative support to the clinicians and managers in the Hearing and Ear Health team of Starship Community

Key tasks include:

  • Receive email and telephone information requests, greet visitors appropriately, follow-up with appropriate actions
  • Hearing Aid management
  • Provide data entry for standard reporting procedures and produce required reports by agreed deadlines
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation at all times.
  • Ensure that the appropriate levels and standards of customer service are delivered.
  • Demonstrate and support good team dynamics at all times.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks and duties as required

About the Service

Starship Community provides multidisciplinary care and cultural support to children, young people and their whānau living within the Auckland area. Our nursing, allied health and technical staff deliver health care services to children, young people, and their whānau in their home, school and community settings. A part of this service is the Hearing & Ear Health team consisting of our talented Audiologists, Newborn Hearing Screeners, Ear Nurses and Vision and Hearing Technicians.

About you

As the ideal candidate for this role you will have:

  • Above average skills in Microsoft applications
  • At least two years administrative experience and/or
  • At least two years customer experience
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification (desired)
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology (desired)
  • Knowledge of health information systems (desired)
