About the Role

Are you ready for a role that offers both variety and challenge? Join us as a Mental Health Act Administrator and make a meaningful impact across Te Toka Tumai Auckland.

We are looking for an experienced administrator to provide a high level of administration support to ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act (1992) and other related legislation. You will ensure all documentation and court-related processes are accurate, timely and legally complaint while working closely with clinicians, Courts, District Inspectors and under the broader direction of the Director of Area Mental Health Services.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Mental Health Act Administrator role forms part of a small team that falls under the DAMHS function (Director of Mental Health Services) within Kāhui o te Ihi/Mental Health Services and is responsible for all of Te Toka Tumai Auckland. The role is based at Te Whetu Tawera, Adult Inpatient Unit at Auckland city Hospital Campus.

About you

We are looking for an experienced Administration Officers who thrive in dynamic environments and have:

· Strong organisational skill, attention to detail and the ability to manage to deadlines

· Confidence in managing processes and solving problems

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Computer literacy and a willingness to learn new systems

· Knowledge of the Mental Health Act is a plus – though training will be provided

It is essential to meet the below minimum requirements:

• Level 4 Qualification

• Minimum of two years administration experience within a clinical hospital setting.

• Sound understanding of IT, including proficiency with MS applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel at least to intermediate level, and Mahi ē Taea.
