About the Role

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for delivering efficient, accurate, and transparent procurement, supply, and operational support across the Perioperative, Gastroenterology, and Endoscopy units at Hawkes Bay Hospital. The role ensures that all consumables, medical and surgical equipment, and other operational resources required for safe, high - quality patient care are effectively sourced, managed, and distributed.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our experienced and collaborative Perioperative, Gastroenterology & Endoscopy teams deliver care across multiple surgical specialties. You'll be working with a multidisciplinary team that is passionate about patient care, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

About you

You will be an established materials and stock management specialist with experience in supply chain or purchasing environments.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Comprehensive working knowledge of supply chain processes, stock, instrument and equipment management
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of people - internally and externally
  • Excellent relationship management skills with a proven ability to build and maintain effective business relationships in a complex environment
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritise your own workload, as well as work as part of the team
  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt to changing priorities
  • An understanding or experience within the health sector would also be advantageous, but not essential
