About the role
We are seeking an innovative, enthusiastic and experienced nurse to join our team as a Specialty Clinical Nurse – Roster Co-ordinator. As a senior nurse, this role has a responsibility for improving the quality of professional nursing practice and safeguarding high standards of care in Te Toka Tumai by supporting an environment in which excellence in clinical care can flourish.
The Speciality Clinical Nurse – Roster Coordinator is responsible for supporting safe, quality patient care by effective management of work schedules. This includes generating rosters, reviewing skill mix, patterns, management of planned leave, staff preferences and general oversight of the Te Toka Tumai electronic roster system (Mahi ē Taea (MeT) for nurses and administration staff. The Speciality Clinical Nurse – Roster Coordinator will have an in-depth knowledge of all functions within MeT , ensuring the information on timecards is accurately recorded.

About you
To be successful you will:
- Have NZ Nursing Registration with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
- Have postgraduate certificate/diploma in specialty nursing practice
- Have project management experience
- Have minimum level 3 practice
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing professional development issues
- Computer literate with experience in Outlook, Excel and Word
