Registered Nurse – Variance Response Management Nurse New Plymouth Hospital, Permanent 0.75 FTE

This is a dynamic role for an experienced Registered Nurse who is flexible, works well as a team and has a large range of clinical skills as well as an understanding of Variance Response.

Working as a part of the Integrated Operations Centre the VRM nursing team support all areas of the hospital.

5 twelve-hour shifts per fortnight 

Shift times are 0645-1915 and 1845-0715

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our team of Variance Response Management RNs respond to care capacity alerts throughout the hospital working with the RN and EN team to complete tasks and work through the VRM response required. VRM RNs are a part of the wider IOC team, so take direction from the Duty Nurse Managers during the time there are no alerts.

About you

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication, problem solving and assessment skills
  • Minimum 3 years acute clinical experience in a NZ hospital setting
  • Able to work as a part of a team and navigate challenging situations
  • Ability to work in a complex changing environment and be able to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Motivation and self-direction
  • Current competent PDRP portfolio, or higher
  • Current NZ Annual Practising Certificate
