We are looking for Registered Nurses to join our Transitional Lounge team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth transitions for patients awaiting discharge or transfer from the hospital. This role requires a skilled nurse who can think laterally and work autonomously in a varied, ever-changing environment, while still contributing as part of a wider team.

Successful candidates will be strong communicators with exceptional interpersonal skills. We offer opportunities for in-service education, comprehensive professional development programmes, and support to undertake post-graduate education, all within a friendly and supportive team environment.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our team of Registered Nurses support patients through the Transitional Lounge, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centred discharge and transfer processes within the hospital. We are a team that works at pace, with passion, vision and intent. Our registered nurses are pivotal to our success and will be expected to engage fully with the whole team.

About you

To be considered we will need the following:

  • New Zealand Registered Nurse, with a current Annual Practising Certificate
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post registration acute experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Previous experience caring for a diverse range of patients
  • Excellent communication and exceptional interpersonal skills
