About the Role
Be part of a close-knit team providing Theatre / Day Stay Unit / Endoscopy clinical nursing services for Kaitaia Hospital.
- Deliver complex care, with clinical skills specific to theatre / DSU / Endoscopy working environment
- Teach and assist others with the nursing process and clinical pathways
- Act as a resource for others and identify and facilitate their learning needs
- Plan discharge utilising appropriate resources to support the patient
- Apply knowledge of both theory and practice to endorse or challenge the appropriateness of care

About the Location
Kaitaia Hospital is Health New Zealand’s northernmost hospital. It is a general hospital serving a widely scattered population. The 20 bed hospital has a general ward, maternity and paediatric ward with all the supporting services, and also provides a substantial community health service.

About you
As a Registered Nurse in Perioperative, you will have strong attention to detail and an ability to follow clear guidelines and set procedures while working as part of a team.
- Registration with New Zealand Nursing Council and a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- A personal commitment to ongoing learning and development
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Previous theatre experience is desirable but not essential to apply
