About the Role

You will be required to work independently and as part of a team across multiple departments within Whangarei Hospital providing short term clinical support. Tasks will include day to day supporting of safe care for patients and their whanau by assisting with delegated activities and supporting maintenance of a safe, pleasant, and functioning environment as part of the healthcare delivery team.

Opportunities to undertake short-term contracts covering annual leave, sick leave or short-term vacancies also available. To begin with we require a good knowledge base, and we will orientate you to our specialty areas.

About you

Ability to provide competent, timely, safe and effective nursing care within the designated standards of practice to enable wards / departments to cope with changing acuity and workload demands.

  • Registered Comprehensive Nurse or RGON
  • Recent experience within an acute hospital setting, urgent care or Emergency Department is desirable
  • The ability to practice in a clinically and professionally safe manner
  • The ability to practice in a culturally safe manner
