About the Role
As a Registered Nurse Ophthalmology you will play a vital role in delivering care and education to patients across the Tairāwhiti region. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to assess, manage, and support people with ophthalmology conditions. You will assist with clinics, treatments and minor surgeries as required for patients with acute and chronic eye conditions and ensure that the clinic runs efficiently.

About you
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Skills and experience in ophthalmology nursing preferred but not essential
- Strong level of computer literacy and a desire to widen your range of technical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with an ability to be flexible and adaptable to the changes that occur throughout the day
- Capable of working in a fast paced, high-volume clinical setting
- The desire for and commitment to continuous professional development
- A good team player- happy to jump in and support others when required
- Good time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- A current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
- Current Eligibility to work in New Zealand
- Local community knowledge would be of benefit
