About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will utilise professional knowledge and skill to provide a holistic approach to nursing care that is safe, of the highest quality possible. You would also ensure that provision of nursing care is in consultation and partnership with the patient/client/family/ whanau, where the rights and needs of all people are acknowledged within the context of the Treaty of Waitangi. Maintain and enhance the professional standards of nursing and contribute to further development of nursing within the service and participate as an effective member of the wider organisation.

Our Ophthalmology Outpatients team is dedicated, friendly, and skilled group of professionals who work collaboratively to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced ad rewarding environment.

About you

As a Registered Nurse in Ophthalmology, you will have the ability to use initiative and work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will also be an excellent communicator and have computer literacy.

  • Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate.
  • Current PDRP
  • Minimum of a post graduate certificate including ophthalmology specialty paper or commitment to undertake within one year
  • Commitment to undertake RN intravitreal injection competency
  • Ophthalmology experience desirable but not necessary
