About the Role
We are looking for aRegistered Nurse to join our Medical Day Stay Unit (MDSU) at Tauranga Hospital. Our unit is operational Monday to Friday between 7:00am – 5:30pm, and we provide care for patients undergoing day infusions, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, radiological procedures, and other short-stay treatments.
This role is well suited to nurses with broad clinical experience, particularly in ambulatory or procedural care, who thrives in a focused and well-paced environment. Pre and post care is a key part of this role, and your ability to work autonomously while contributing to a cohesive team will be essential.
The unit also provides 24/7 on-call endoscopy services. Once trained, nurses will participate in the roster and must live within 20 minutes of the hospital, hold a valid NZ driver's license, and have access to a registered vehicle.
We have available a permanent part time opportunity working 0.8FTE / 32 hours per week.

What you will bring:
- Current NZNC registration and Annual Practicing Certificate
- Experience in day stay, ambulatory care, or procedural services (preferred)
- Strong assessment, recovery, and patient education skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
