About the Role
Step into a leadership role within a fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department. As an Associate Clinical Nurse Manager (ACNM), you will partner with the Clinical Nurse Manager to drive day-to-day operational excellence. You will manage patient flow, coordinate safe staffing levels, provide clinical oversight, and mentor a dedicated frontline nursing team. This position balances your advanced clinical skills with leadership, empowering you to maintain exceptional patient care even during peak escalation periods.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our Emergency Department functions as a fast-paced, high-acuity, 24/7 critical care hub. We manage a full mix of complex clinical presentations, including major trauma, resuscitation, paediatrics, acute medicine, and mental health emergencies.
We pride ourselves on a highly collaborative, transdisciplinary team environment. As an ACNM, you will work side-by-side with emergency physicians, allied health professionals, security, and support services. About you
To be successful in this role, you will be a resilient, decisive nursing leader with advance emergency clinical expertise. You will have a proven ability to manage patient flow during peak department pressured and a passion for mentoring a high-performing frontline team.
What you will bring:
- Current NZCN registration and Annual Practicing Certificate
- Significant, proven experience as a Registered Nurse in Emergency Care or an acute clinical setting
- Prior clinical coordination, shift leader, or senior nursing experience is desired
Outstanding communication skills, clinical judgement, and the ability to adapt to a high-pressure , multicultural environment
