About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiology Service, you will provide high quality, evidence based care to patients and their whānau experiencing a range of cardiac conditions. You will complete comprehensive assessments, develop and evaluate care plans, deliver clinical interventions, and support patients to understand and manage their health.
Each day brings variety - you may be monitoring cardiac patients, supporting diagnostic procedures, coordinating care with the wider clinical team, or ensuring seamless patient flow. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment where patient safety, communication and clinical excellence are at the heart of everything we do.

Our Cardiology Service at Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldier’s Hospital is a supportive, skilled and collaborative team of nurses, doctors and allied health professionals. We work together to deliver safe, patient centred cardiac care, supported by strong leadership and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

About you
As a Registered Nurse, you bring professionalism, strong clinical judgement and a compassionate approach to care. You will have:
- Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a valid Annual Practising Certificate.
- Experience applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in nursing practice.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Excellent time‑management and the ability to adapt in a busy clinical environment.
Desired:
- A current PDRP portfolio.
- At least two years of clinical experience.
