About the Role
As the Medical Imaging Information and Business Co-ordinator ( MIBCO) you be pivotal in leading and transforming business operations within our medical imaging department. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving efficiency, leading our administration team, optimizing workflows, collecting and analysing data and implementing service improvements that enhance patient care and operational performance.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Our Medical imaging services cover all of Hawke’s Bay with sites at Hastings, Napier, Central Hawke’s Bay and Wairoa. The MIBCO role will be based at the Hastings Fallen soldier hospital.
The Medical imaging team are a multi-cultural team consisting of Radiologists, Medical Imaging Technologists, Nurses , Administration and booking staff and orderlies. We are a very busy , highly professional and supportive team where no two days will be the same. About you
You will be a person who has a passion for leadership, service improvement and all things data and digital . Ideally you will have direct leadership experience, but if not, you will be able to share with us how you have developed leadership skills through other roles including service development or quality improvement.
You will be passionate about the improving equity of outcomes for our people. You will be someone who enjoys thinking creatively and who can support people through change.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Strategy: Provide strong leadership to the administration and business functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Operational Excellence: Develop and implement service improvement strategies to enhance workflow efficiency, patient experience, and staff performance.Information & Data Management: Oversee the collection and reporting of radiology data in conjunction with as business analyst and RIS/PACS teams . Ensure data security, accuracy, and accessibility
- Financial & Business Oversight: Support the leadership team with budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with radiologists, healthcare professionals, IT teams, and external partners to drive business growth and service enhancement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to healthcare standards, data protection laws, and imaging compliance regulations.
- Innovation & Digital Transformation: Lead initiatives to integrate new technologies, improve digital workflows, and enhance imaging business intelligence.
