Programme Manager- Clinical Digital Mahi - Planning & Performance

About the Role
The Programme Manager – Clinical Digital Mahi is responsible for designing, leading, and managing the Clinical Digital Mahi programme. This includes scaling the implementation of digital hospital products and tools and delivering complex, multi-year, cross-organisation programmes that drive strategic change.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the design, planning, execution, and evaluation of complex programmes aligned with organisational strategy.
- Manage improvement and transformation programmes spanning 18 months to 3 years.
- Assess infrastructure readiness and ensure alignment with local workflows and existing systems.
- Manage interdependencies, risks, and programme performance across multiple projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across clinical, operational, and digital teams.
- Facilitate workshops, governance meetings, and cross-functional planning sessions.
- Coach, mentor, and support teams to implement change effectively.
- Champion Te Toka Tumai values and embed Tangata Tiriti principles in programme work.
Leadership & Management:
- Provide strategic and adaptive leadership for teams and projects.
- Align individual work plans with programme outcomes and organisational priorities.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration to deliver meaningful improvements across the system.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrates strong people management and leadership experience.
- Has proven experience managing complex, multi-year programmes and projects.
- Has knowledge of the New Zealand health system and its strategic priorities.
- Can apply Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in a meaningful way.
- Demonstrates excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Is committed to equity, cultural safety, and Te Toka Tumai values.
