About the Role
The Junior Project Manager is a key role within the Planning & Performance Team, responsible for delivering small to medium-sized projects (typically 3–6 months) that support service improvement, operational change, or digital implementation. You will lead end-to-end project planning, stakeholder engagement, and reporting with minimal supervision. This role provides an excellent development opportunity for those seeking to grow into more complex project or programme leadership positions.

About You
We are looking for someone who brings:
Essential:
- Relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification and/or equivalent work experience
- Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice
- Proven project management experience
- In-depth knowledge of management disciplines and the New Zealand health system
- Strong organisational skills, proactive approach, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Desired:
- Project management qualification or equivalent work experience
- Experience in health service development and delivery in New Zealand
- Capacity planning experience
You will be able to:
- Apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Take ownership of projects and deliver results
- Demonstrate self-awareness, integrity, and professional behaviour
