Are you passionate about developing others and strengthening professional practice across the healthcare workforce? We are seeking an experienced and motivated Professional Supervision Educator to join our People and Professional Development team based at Middlemore Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building a strong supervision culture that supports safe, effective, and high-quality care across our organisation.
As a Professional Supervision Educator, you will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of professional supervision training and development. You will support both supervisors and supervisees to build confidence, capability, and best practice in supervision.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and delivering professional development programmes related to supervision
- Supporting services to embed a strong supervision culture
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing healthcare professionals
- Evaluating and improving the quality and effectiveness of education programmes
- Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to enhance learning and development
You will bring:
- Hold NZ registration with a Health professional registration board, and an APC
- A relevant healthcare qualification and supervision experience
- A postgraduate certificate focused on professional supervision as required
- At least 5 year’s experience supervising health professionals
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills
- The ability to work across disciplines and influence at all levels
- A commitment to equity, cultural safety, and continuous improvement
