We are searching for a registered Oral Health Therapist/Dental Therapist to join our Eastern Oral Health Team.
This position involves working on a mobile dental unit in Paeroa, Te Aroha, Hauraki Plains, and surrounding areas. You will be part of the national transformation in Health. You will manage comprehensive oral health services and make a real difference in eliminating health inequalities in our community. You will work alongside a Dental Assistant as part of a supportive and friendly team who is committed to deliver quality health services for our tamariki. We welcome both new graduates and experienced practitioners to our service.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Conduct oral health assessments and develop individualised care plans.
- Provide preventive and therapeutic dental treatments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with the wider healthcare team to promote holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

About you
To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Current registration with the Dental Council NZ and Annual Practising Certificate.
- Up-to-date clinical skills in Oral Health Therapy.
- A knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- You will need to be flexible, organised, self-motivated and demonstrate that you can work effectively with whanau to improve oral health.
- You will be a team player who understands the importance of partnering with dental assistants and who values support, friendship, and development.
- You will have an appreciation for our shared values and culture that contribute to our oral health team’s success.
