Dental Assistant Casual

• Mobile dental units, fixed clinics and Hospitals.
• Southern Waikato Region – Cambridge, Putaruru and rural areas, Matamata and Morrinsville. Base to be negotiated.
• Casual – Hours (Monday to Friday).

About the role:

The position involves working on mobile dental units and fixed clinics and occasionally Hospitals. The area covered is quite vast however a base will be allocated to the successful applicant where you will start and finish your day. You will provide assistance with dental care to pre-school and school age children.

Dental assistants support and assist oral health and dental therapists in all aspects of care and clinic administration.

The position would ideally suit someone who has had dental assistant experience or has a work history in office administration, working with children, customer service or health care.

• A full current driver’s licence.
• The ability to prioritise effectively.
• Good & clear communication skills.
• Computer skills.
• Be conscientious and reliable.

Caring for the oral health of children is incredibly important for their long-term health and well-being and is a deeply rewarding experience to those providing care. Community Oral Health provides free oral health services for eligible children residing in the Waikato district.
