About the Role
In this role you will provide occupational therapy services to in-patient clients at Waikato Hospital. You will be collaborating with clients and the multidisciplinary team providing specialist occupational therapy assessment and interventions. Main ward will be covering is one of the older person and rehab wards

About the Team/Service
Our occupational therapy teams boasts many specialty areas, this position is working in Waikato Hospital’s Older Persons and Rehabilitation Service (OPR). This OT position is based covering OPR wards, but may at times support other OT services.
About you
We welcome applications from qualified occupational therapists who hold registration to practice with the OT Board of NZ. As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:
- Effective time management, prioritisation and organisation skills
- Drive, energy and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary setting
- Pro-active and can-do approach with the ability to be flexible and work autonomously as well as in a team.
- Full driver’s licence
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in upholding Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
