About the Hospital and Team
Waikato Hospital is a major tertiary teaching hospital and the regional hub for the Midland area, serving communities across Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Lakes, Tairawhiti, and Taranaki. With 722 inpatient beds, 22 operating theatres, and a dedicated outpatient clinic and procedure centre, the hospital offers comprehensive services including radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy. Located on the Waiora Waikato Hospital Campus, it’s equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities and supported by both road and air ambulance services.
The Interventional Radiology (IR) service operates within this dynamic environment, backed by a philosophy of continuous innovation. About You
To apply you must have completed five years specialist radiology training and have an interventional radiology fellowship and/or experience. You must be eligible for either Locum Tenens or Vocational registration in the scope of Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
