• Fixed Term until August 2027, Part – Time, 40 hours per fortnight (0.5 FTE)

About the Role

As a Dietitian - Paediatric (Mātanga Kai), you will provide specialist nutrition assessment, intervention, and advice to tamariki, rangatahi, and their whānau across a range of paediatric settings. This fixed - term position offers the opportunity to work across inpatient, outpatient, and community services as part of a supportive Allied Health team.

You will manage a varied caseload, delivering evidence - based nutrition care and working closely with patients, whānau, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive health outcomes. This role offers the chance to further develop your paediatric dietetics expertise while contributing to service improvement initiatives and supporting equitable outcomes for Māori and all communities across Hawke’s Bay.

Our Allied Health Therapies team provides a collaborative and supportive environment where clinicians work together to deliver high - quality, patient - centred care. Based in Hastings, you will be part of a team committed to improving access, reducing inequities, and supporting better health outcomes for tamariki, rangatahi, and their whānau.

About you

As a Dietitian, you will bring:

• Registration as a New Zealand Dietitian with a current practising certificate and prescribing endorsement
• Clinical experience in paediatric dietetic care
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with patients, whānau, and multidisciplinary teams
• A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving equitable health outcomes
• A positive, proactive approach with a passion for delivering high - quality nutrition care
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, i.e. (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet resources and e-mail).
• Clean current full NZ driver’s license.
