About the Role and Service

As part of the Whangārei District Nursing Team the Clinical Nurse Manager will provide clinical and nursing leadership and management to facilitate the effective day-to-day safe operation of services and to contribute to the delivery of directorate objectives and nursing strategy.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Effective, visible and accessible professional nursing leadership and clinical guidance, which actively strengthens clinical staff to pursue Clinical leadership to support nursing standards and nursing practice.
  • Supporting nursing staffing assessment based on acuity and resource decisions.
  • Bringing a strategic view of education for District Nursing teams in partnership with the DN Leadership Team.

This is a permanent, full time position (1.0 FTE) based in Whangarei, however some travel around the region will be required.

About you

Essential Skills & Experience

  • New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current annual practicing certificate
  • Relevant Post graduate tertiary qualification or working towards
  • Specialty knowledge and practice expertise
  • Ability to develop successful teamwork and collaborations
  • Ability to implement service delivery plans
