About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated Clinical Quality and Risk Manager to join our Adult Rehabilitation and Health of Older People (ARHOP) Division at Middlemore Hospital.

This influential role is ideal for someone who is passionate about quality improvement, patient safety, and driving excellence across healthcare services. Working 32 hours per week, with flexible start and finish times available by agreement, you will play a key role in shaping and supporting quality and risk initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.

As the Clinical Quality and Risk Manager, you will provide expert leadership, coordination, and oversight of quality assurance, risk management, governance, and improvement activities across the Division. You will work closely with clinical leaders, managers, and multidisciplinary teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality care.

About you:

You are an experienced healthcare professional with a strong background in quality, risk, clinical governance, or health service management. You thrive in complex environments, enjoy influencing positive change, and have a proven ability to engage and support teams to achieve quality outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in a health-related discipline.
• A minimum of five years' post-qualification experience in clinical practice, quality, risk, or health management.
• Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement and patient safety initiatives within healthcare settings.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, clinical governance, risk management, and audit processes.
• Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
• A commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering patient-centred care.
