This role exists to provide support to the wards to assist them to provide an effective service for patients and their families on a casual basis.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Health NZ, Tairawhiti is a secondary care facility situated on the East Coast, comprising of urban and rural communities covering a large area, and serves a population of approximately 45,000. Gisborne’s relative isolation is its charm; however larger cities are only a quick flight away. The Hospital is located within a 5 minute drive of the town centre on the fringe of Gisborne City.
We provide a comprehensive range of services in our 110 bed hospital, which includes:
· Neonatal
· ICU/CCU
· Medical/Surgical
· Orthopaedic/Rehabilitation
· Paediatrics
· Midwifery
· Renal Services
· Mental Health
· Emergency
· Theatre

About you
The ideal candidate will have:
· Previous experience working in a care environment and NZQA Level 3 care qualification
· sound oral and written communication skills
· an understanding and respect for patient confidentiality is essential
