About the Role
As a Ward Clerk on Motutapu Ward, you will be providing clerical support to the ward’s Charge Nurse and the adult Haematology team. You are the first of contact for visitors and enquiries, providing a high-quality customer focused approach through face to face and telephone contact. You will perform various administrative tasks associated with the smooth operation of the clerical aspects of the ward.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 2 years clerical experience in a frontline role
- Work experience in a Healthcare environment as an Administrator or Clinical Receptionist and looking to move to a larger organisation.
- You are confident with medical terminology in an administration role.
A shift in this role could see you coordinating the movement of patients, maintaining patient files, patient information data entry, following up on appointments to stock control and maintenance.
Being the first point of contact for ward visitors and phone calls, you pride yourself on your high-quality customer-focused skills with meticulous attention to detail and have strong organisational skills. Your ability to adapt, openness to learn and cope well in a busy clinical environment will be keys to your success in this role.
