About the Role:

The Manager Volunteering and Volunteer Coordinator are looking to welcome a motivated and people-focused Volunteer Coordinator to complete our Volunteer Management team in this full-time (1 FTE) role. While each coordinator is responsible for their own volunteer programmes and volunteer groups, we work closely together and strongly support one another as a collaborative and connected team.

As Volunteer Coordinator, you will guide, support and inspire volunteers in their roles across the hospital environment, including public spaces and designated volunteer-participating wards. You will play an important role in fostering positive relationships between volunteers, employees and service users, helping to create a welcoming and compassionate experience for all.

You will be responsible for the full volunteer coordination process, including recruitment, screening, onboarding, training, support, retention and evaluation of volunteers, while also responding to the evolving needs of the organisation. Together as a team, we also take shared pride in maintaining the Volunteer Centre as a welcoming social hub and supportive space for our volunteers.

We ask that you commit to taking 1 Saturday shift per month from 10 am – 1pm

To be successful in this position you will have:

· Experience or proven affinity with volunteering

· At least 3 years of experience managing teams

· A commitment to quality service delivery

· Ability to project manage and implement new volunteer initiatives, including writing programme service reports

· A positive outlook on life

· Ability to keep a sense of humour in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to think on your feet
