We are seeking an experienced, confident, and passionate Physiotherapist to join our busy Outpatient Physiotherapy Service, working across North Shore and Waitākere Hospitals in a full-time position (40 hours per week).
This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician with strong outpatient experience who is committed to delivering high-quality, patient and whānau-centred care. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning, autonomy, and flexibility while contributing to service development and innovation.
In this role, you will assess and manage patients with complex musculoskeletal, neurological, and vestibular conditions. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of physiotherapy services, support interdisciplinary collaboration, and help drive initiatives that enhance patient experience and health outcomes. We are particularly interested in candidates who are enthusiastic about integrating telehealth into physiotherapy practice and exploring innovative approaches to care delivery.
About the role
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessment and treatment of complex musculoskeletal, neurological, and vestibular presentations
- Delivering evidence-based, patient and whānau-centred physiotherapy care
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Supporting service improvement and innovation initiatives
- Promoting the role of physiotherapy across the organisation and wider community
- Contributing to the development of colleagues and physiotherapy services
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of two years' experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy within an outpatient setting
- Demonstrated advanced clinical assessment and management skills for complex musculoskeletal conditions, including chronic presentations
- Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- A proactive, self-motivated, and reliable approach to practice
- Experience facilitating interdisciplinary teamwork
