About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, skilled, and fast thinking Physiotherapist to join our inpatient team at Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora – Waitematā, working across both our post-acute care medical ward and acute orthopaedic ward.
This full time position offers the opportunity to support two distinct but complementary clinical areas. You will contribute to the rehabilitation of medically cleared patients who require additional support before safely returning home, while also providing specialist physiotherapy input within the acute orthopaedic setting.
In this varied role you will be part of an interdisciplinary team, delivering early assessment, targeted interventions and coordinated discharge planning. Your expertise will play a key role in achieving positive patient outcomes through a collaborative patient-centred approach.

About you
- New Zealand Professional Registration and valid current APC
- 2+years of recent acute inpatient and orthopaedic hospital experience
- Ability to lead, support and mentor/supervise junior staff
- Experience with student supervision
- Strong clinical assessment skills, great communication and fast thinking.
